"Goldfish bowls" has been a long outdated name for a container that is far too small to house any fish whatsoever. They typically hold about 1 gallon of water, which is unsuitable for anything other than a place to put your loose change.
A Betta (Siamese fighting fish) is a fish that can live in 2.5 to 5 gallons at minimum - they are the fish that pet stores keep in little cups. This is not because that's all the water they need to survive, but because they cannot be housed together in the same tank and there is simply no room to place each fish alone in one tank each.
One can shop for goldfish bowls from many different stores and retailers. Some examples that sell goldfish bowls include PETCO, ThinkGeek, and Replacements.
Yes, the bigger tank the better. They actually HATE goldfish bowls. (they're not nearly big enough). Goldfish usually need a 20 to 30 gallon tank
Goldfish do not belong in bowls. One goldfish needs at minimum 20 gallons on it's own, plus 10 gallons for each for every additional goldfish (30 gallons for 2 goldfish). It's not just due to their size potential, which is big, but because they are such messy fish that produce high amounts of waste
Either an aquarium or a pond. NO BOWLS, PLEASE!
they can live in goldfish bowls i have always kept my beta in a goldfish bowl and my last beta lived between 4-5 years in a goldfish bowl.
Goldfish bowls make great 'floating flower' vases. They are absolutely useless for keeping fish in. The first rule of fish keeping is "1 inch of fish needs a minimum of 1 Gallon of water". Goldfish bowls are therefore not large enough to house one tiny fish.
Goldfish cannot live in bowls. Fancy goldfish need at least 20 gallons for the first fish, and 10 gallons minimum for any additional goldfish. This means that for two goldfish, the smallest tank you should have is 30 gallons.
Most goldfish bowls, aquaria, swimming pools, seas, oceans...
Goldfish do not get pregnant. They are egg layers.
It ranges. They generally grow their whole life. The oldest goldfish lived to be 49 and I believe it was about 3 feet....The house hold goldfish lives between 10-20 (20 means you did great!) years and get about a foot long. They seem small as babies but rapidly grow and need large tanks. Small tanks and bowls stunt their growth and causes many problems besides how big they get. So to answer your question, they get big.
because the air provides less resistence compared to water. dolphins do it aswellBecause they can!
