∙ 11y agoThe largest Alaskan Brown Bear ever documented was killed on Kodiak Island in 1894 and weighed 1,656 pounds. There undoubtedly have been some brown bears that were bigger than that. Most bears that are killed by hunters are not weighed. The heaviest interior grizzly ever recorded weighed 940 pounds and was captured and tagged in Yukon Territory, Canada.
