∙ 14y agoThe Great Dark Spot is almost the same as the Great Red Spot because they're both anti-cyclonic storms. But unlike the Great Red Spot, which can fit 2 Earths, the Great Dark Spot can fit 1 Earth. So it is about 8,100 mile long and 4,100 wide.

∙ 14y agoThe Astronauts sent out asatellite to see what damage the Great Dark Spot was doing to Neptune. It was doing a lot of harm to Neptune but they couldn't do anything about it. Five years later when they sent another satellite out The Great Dark Spot had disappeared.

∙ 9y agoThe Great Dark Spot was first discovered in 1989 by Voyager 2. Scientists believed it was similar to the hole in the Earth's ozone. When pictures were taken of Neptune again, the spot had disappeared without a known reason, but had created new dark spot.
