Is Brontosaurus recognized as the correct scientific name for this species of plant-eating dinosaur?

No Brontosaurs is not a known dinosaur. The name Brontosaurus was given when bones of a Apatosaurus and the skull of a Camarasaurus were mixed up. This mistake was quickly realised but for some reason the name seemed to stick. Mostly when people say Brontosaurus they actually mean Apatosaurus.
