Best Answer

According to the National Wildlife Federation, Grizzly bears can stand up to 10 feet tall on their back legs and weigh up to 1,700 pounds. The males are significantly larger than the females, with the latter usually not exceeding 800 pounds (still four times heavier and many times stronger than a good-sized human).

The polar bear is the largest carnivore on the earth. Adult males weigh between 350 to 680 kilograms (770 to 1500 pounds). They can measure between 2.4 to 3 meters in length (7.9 to 9.8 feet). Females are comparatively smaller and weigh around 150 to 250 kilograms (330 to 550 pounds) and measure 1.8 to 2.4 meters (5.9 to 7.9 feet) in length. However, when the female is pregnant, she can weigh as high as 500 kilograms. The largest ever Polar Bear recorded by man weighed 1002 kilograms (2210 pounds). Standing on all four feet, their height at shoulder is around 130 to 160 cms (4 to 5.5 feet) and while standing they can be as much as 10 feet or more in height.
