The world's largest species of bears are Polar Bears. An average adult male is 8.5 ft. tall and weighs 900 lbs. An average adult female is 6.5 ft. tall and weighs 500lbs.

Do you mean the one largest bear in any species? If you do then the world's largest known bear was a male South American giant bear that was 11 feet tall and 3,500lbs.
