body temperature can maintain by physiological method especially in mammals bcoz, they are homoiothrmic which rely mainly on metabolic heat to maintain their body temperature through negative feedback mechanism by triggering corrective mechanism example of physiological method are by :

  1. increase in sweating
  2. vasodilation & vasoconstriction
  3. by the relaxation/contraction of pilo erector muscle
  4. metabolic rate

The human body temperature is maintained by the constant burning of "fuel" in your cells.

Just like a car burns gasoline, the human body (chemically) burns carbohydrates (e.g. glucose) and lipides (fat). This occurs constantly, even in your sleep.

This "burning" is of course a chemical reaction that occurs in your cells. For this reaction a carbohydrate or fat has to react with oxygen, these will be converted to carbon dioxide (CO2), water and HEAT!!.

Because of that heat your body maintains its temperature.

The body temperature of humans is maintained close 37°C and heat is distributed throughout the body by blood. The hypothalamus of the brain has thermoreceptors which monitor temperature by sending messages to effectors.

When the person is too hot, the skin arterioles will dilate to cool the body. The sweat glands will also produce sweat and the evaporation of sweat has a cooling effect.

When the person is too cold, the skin arterioles constrict to retain body heat. Shivering can also generate heat.

This is called homeostatic thermoregulation, and is common in warm-blooded animals. Unlike cold-blooded animals, which cannot regulate their body temperatures, and have to find shade, sunlight, and other means, warm-blooded animals have internal structures that both sense body temperature and produce chemical/hormonal changes that can allow for the generation of heat as well as the dissipation of heat. For example, the human body has the hypothalamus in the midbrain, which controls the body's temperature regulation systems. It can trigger hormone changes to induce vasoconstriction (when we need to start warm and give off less heat through the skin) and vasodilation (when we need to cool down and dissipate more heat through the skin). The brain also induces shivering to generate chemical energy, which is converted to heat.

How does your body temperature get maintained?

Your body temperature is regulated by the hypothalamus.

What temperature does the body need to be maintained at?

95.5 - 97.5 degrees Fahrenheit

What happens to the body if the body temperature is not maintained?

If the temperature of the body is disrupted, the body's homeostasis will be off balance, and critical chemical reactions will not be able to occur, thus eventually shutting down the body.

How is body temperature of all living things maintained?

since water requires a lot of energy to gain heat, it holds the temperature in your body well

Hunger sleep thirst and correct body temperature are maintained by the what?

Your mother. Later, your wife.

Why is the temperature of the testes lower than core body temperature?

If the testes are not maintained at a temperature about 2 °C lower than body temperature the process of spermatogenesis will not take place, so that is why it is important for the testes to descend into the scrotum during maturation.

What help the body maintain homeostasis?

Temperature regulation in the body is maintained but the brain stem. They hypothalamus of the brain controls hydration in the body. Both help maintain homeostasis.

How does the body keep its temperature?

Constant body temperature is maintained by warm blooded organisms - birds, mammals. The body temperature is maintained constant irrespective of an increase or decrease in temperature of the surrounding. The constant temperature is maintained by temperature haemostasis. This is achieved by altering the metabolic rate and rate of perspiration and urination. Maintaining constant temperature is also called as homeothermy.

Describe the body's internal environment?

The body's internal environment is maintained by homeostasis. The components that are regulated inside the body are temperature, pH level, water, ion and solute balance.

Why does your body temperature get maintained?

Because of the homeostatic conditions in our body. i.e the maintainence of internal environment relatively constant. When body temperature is increased, it send message to CNS which inturn sends immediate message to different parts of the body to cool down by sweating & when body temperature is decreased , body produces enough heat by burning fat.

How might a normal body temperature be maintained?

People usually maintain a normal body temperature by wearing appropriate clothing. In very hot weather (such as we are having now) air conditioning also helps a lot.

Is a human's body warmer on the inside?

It depends on the environment in which one is in. The temperature internally of the human body is 98.6 degrees Fahrenheit or 37 degrees Celsius when homeostasis is maintained
