Yes and no. IQ testing can give you a baseline of your IQ, but the score can be 10 points or more off up or down. Some people also don't test well which is no reflection on their IQ and there are cultural factors involved in the test itself. The test makers have tried to eliminate the cultural factors, but some still sneak into the testing. I think a test on aptitude is a better test because it will tell you where you are strongest and may help guide you toward a profession where you will do well.
