There are two ways:

  1. Remove and install carburetor, this will probably include a change of intake manifold and disabling much of the computer functions for the TB injection system
  2. Buy and install an aftermarket injection system, Edelbrock and Holly were both producing system last I checked.

350 tbi versus 305 tbi?

#1,if this is in a truck, though a 305 is not necessarily a horrible engine,it has a much weaker bottom end then most 350s. Therefore for a truck engine,or any stressed application,I would recommend the 350 over the 305,altogether separate from the power issue. 350 tbi & 305 tbi are the same weather 2 or 4 barrels

Can you use a tbi 305 distributor in a early 305?

Yes, you can use a TBI (Throttle Body Injection) 305 distributor in an early 305 engine, but there are some considerations. The TBI distributor may have different timing curves and may require modifications to fit properly in the early engine. Additionally, the ignition system may need to be compatible, so it's essential to ensure the wiring and components match your setup. Overall, it's best to consult with a mechanic or specialist to ensure compatibility and optimal performance.
