The theft deterrent system is built into the Body Control Module. There are sensors and switches that affect the BCM throughout your car so you need to be more specific as to what you're looking for.

It seems you have no other choice than the stealership. See Theft-Deterrent Feature on page 3-86 of your "Owner's Manual". Something to do with the car VIN number.....

I dont believe the Impala 2003 uses a DPFE sensor as part of there Emissions system.
This depends on several factors:Are you stealing from it? Then run!Do you have the key fob, if it is the original equipment Ford fob: lock and unlock the doors, that usually will shut it upIf its an aftermarket system push the disarm button.If you don't have the key fob, RUN!
