Our 2003 Impala has brake pads.
I believe the four cylinder has rear drums and the six has disc brakes.
It depends if it has rotors it has pads, if it has drums it has shoes. Hope this helps.
Pads--and if you've got disc brakes on the back of the car, which I think you do, you need pads back there too.
The pads or shoes wear out and need replacing.
Yes, a Fiat Punto has disc brakes at the front and these have pads. The drum brakes at the back have shoes.
Front pads (disc brakes) Rear shoes (drum brakes)
brake pads can either be on the front or rear of a car... it all depends on if it has disc or drum brakes on the rear... drum brakes have shoes not pads
There are 2 pads per wheel. There are 4 or a set per axle which means either both front or both rear. Some cars have rear drum brakes so they require an axle set of brake shoes.
The Ford Escape 2004 model has Pads on the rear.
Remove the tire and wheel from your 2003 Chevy Impala. Remove the brake assembly spring and the break caliper. The brake pads will come off. Reverse the process to install the new brake pads.
It he emergency brake has slack in it, then you more than likely the rear pads/shoes are worn out. Inspect the rear brakes.
The truck has 4 wheel disc brakes for stopping. There is a small hub on the rear disks for the parking brake shoes to engage. www.trailvoy.com
