The Duggars believe that a courtship should always be started by the boy asking the girl's father's permission to start courting (sometimes the father and the mother's permission, as Ben Seewald did). This means that a Duggar boy has to ask to court YOU, and not the other way around. So it is very difficult to court a Duggar boy, because the decision of whether or not to start a courtship is decided by them and approved by you, almost like a marriage proposal. If you wanted to court a Duggar girl, all you have to do is e-mail Jim Bob Duggar and ask for his permission and hope he says yes. But, like I said, it is not that simple to court a Duggar boy.
