What are 'Dungeons and Dragons' figures?

Dungeons and Dragons miniatures are just like the roleplaying game, except they give you a visual reference to what you're fighting/playing as. The miniatures, although really cool, are pre-made unlike the roleplaying game where you make up your own character(s).

How do you make a Dungeons and dragons 4.0 dragon character?

Purchase Wizards of the Coast's fourth edition Dungeons & Dragons Player's Handbook from a local book store or hobby store. Alternatively, you'll be able to buy it at a better price from an online retailer, such as Amazon.com or CoolStuffInc.com. The book is very well written, and will best guide you through the character creation process. By "dragon character," I assume you mean character of the Dragonborne race. The rules for creating a Dragonborne character are in the Player's Handbook, as well.

What are Dungeons and Dragons characters?

AnswerDungeons and Dragons is a complex role playing game which became popular in the 1970's. Characters were created using dice and a Dungeon Master controlled the game. It is the precurser to the popular net game World of Warcraft, sharing many of the same features. It is a pencil and paper RPG (role playing game), meaning that the action takes place in your head and stats, and other things are written down. While there are rule books for Dungeons and Dragons, many people make alterations to suit their particular, and the groups style of play.

Is there a program that will take a regular picture and make it into a drow from dungeons and dragons?

No such program that I have found will do that automatically. Adobe Photoshop could edit a picture to be a drow, but you will have to do it manually and I am no expert on how to use that program.

How do you make a dungeons and dragons account?

Since Dungeons & Dragons is a tabletop role-playing game, I'm going to assume that you mean Turbine's Dungeons and Dragons Online (DDO). In order to create a DDO account, visit the game's website. You'll want to press the "Play Free Now" button, or something akin to that. As of December 24, 2010, the button is on the right side of the screen, purple, and reads, "Ready to jump into the action? Play free now!". If you're having trouble finding this button, try pressing "My Account" on the upper navigation bar. After making an account, you will be directed to download the game (the "client"). In this case, you are given a program that will download the actual game for you. After downloading the game, you'll be directed to actually install it to your computer. Finally, you can log in with your account, create your first character, and start questing! Good luck!

How would you make a child npc in dungeons and dragons?

Simply give the child a personality, and assign it as a minion or a low hp (and low bloodied value) so it is more realistic. (ex., 5 hp bloodied 4)

What does a wand of metal command do in second ed AD and D do?

A wand of metal command in the 2nd edition of Advanced Dungeons and Dragons will turn all metal into wood. It can also make lightening strike depending on the level.

Why is Dungeons and Dragons so cool?

i play dungeons and dragons and i think its cool because it refers to real life in the midieval times and there's really no way that u can cheat. it's also cool cuz u can be a spellcaster, a swordsman, or like, whatever. i play a 12th-level wizard, and she's pretty powerful. so go the the Jester's Cap (i think that's what the stores called) and get ur figures, dice, and campaign books! One reason I like Dungeons & Dragons is because it's like a collaborative story project. You get to make up a neat world with cool characters with a bunch of friends, and the DM provides the plot, so you don't have to think about it, just have fun being a weird and powerful character. (Unless you're the DM, of course, and then making up the plot and being the NPCs is the fun part.) It's also cool to do stuff you can't do for real, like fight bad guys and find treasure.

Which of the 3 Dungeons and Dragons book should you read first?

I would recommend the 4th Edition Players Handbook. 4th Edition is the latest version and has been simplified a bit to help encourage new players. This would make a good starting place. 3.5 Ed. Is more complicated but many players like it due to a greater range of options in gameplay and character creation.
