There are a couple of options to this. One would be, if the outlet will reach, to use a vacuum with a hose attachment. If this is not do-able, however, simply flipping the vent upside down and using dish detergant and the spray-setting on your sink until the water runs clear will suffice. It is so important to do this, as it can prevent a fire hazard if not done.
