go to local fire dept if vollie or career they will send you to school and alot of school you will be reguired to take before you can fight the fires

You need to have atleast 2 years of college classes mostly science.
you have to take acting, theater ,or drama lessons in your school or individual classes.
You can train for free to become a volunteer firefighter and there are firefighter training dvd's also.
English, math and science.

While it does not help it directly, it definitley helps to have the experience. Taking the classes is not a bad decision and may further improve your preparedness to become a RN.
It all depends on the department itself. Just go in and conduct a normal interview. You shouldn't have to prepare, just answer the questions as they ask!
You can still become a firefighter in Michigan if you've gotten a DUI. You must however go through extensive therapy, AA meetings, and file to have your license reinstated before you can become a firefighter.
