Unfortunately, our current biological hardware does not support this function. Enhancements in the next 2-3 decades will begin to make this viable for normal people, but for now the only manner in which this can be done is via Cochlear implants.
The Cochlear implant is generally used in certain types of deaf people, and pipes audio signals directly into the brain. The quality leaves something to be desired, but it is better than being deaf, and each upgrade improves the quality.
The implant can be used with a wireless transmitter to directly transmit audio, for example from a television set, to the listener. This audio can be raised or lowered in volume by using either the television control or the Cochlear volume controls. Since the Cochlear audio is piped directly into the brain, outside observers cannot hear it at all.
This feature is used by couples who don't want to disturb each other, and in group retirement homes where extremely loud television may interfere with other residents.
Although this answer is very accurate, it leaves out the many possibilities you have to improve your life. some ways to ease your mind is to take over the music with a mantra through meditation, that is, concentrate on a geometric figure and repeat a phrase over and over, one that pertains to improving your life or just your favorite passage in The Bible or guide to spirituality. something is taking your minds attention and this thing is within. once you can combat these deamon's, which I'm sure you have, you can begin to have your own thought process without interuption. My mind raced all night for years and i just dealt with it until 14 years later, mind you I'm only 25, I began taking xanax, and klonopin. these drugs slow your mind down so you can concentrate on what is really important to you. hope all the best.
