He is not Obito hes just madara uchia alot of people think he is obito because it kinda fits in with the story but no orbito is dead and to anybody who reads this and you think he is still obito you are an idiot.

Does Kakashi know obito is alive?
Kakashi, Obito, Rin and Minato Namikaze (the leader) were students in the same team. Obito dies and later on it emerges that Tobi is, in fact, Madara Uchiha. No because obito is not Tobi .madara uchiha is a man from before the hidden leaf he is probably hundreds of years old madara was born before kakashi they can not be the same age because Kakashi is 27 Well as shown now tobi is not madara. However there is no way tobi could be obito cause at the time where the nine tails attacked kakashi was still young and tobi was way older when he fought minato. I dont get why people are not using their brains cause that is a proof that tobi is not obito.
How can Tobi be obito?
In the Kakashi Chronicles it never did show Obito die, it just showed a huge boulder falling where he was, he could have been moved by a extremely fast ninja, or he didn't die by being crushed (not likely). Also, the war was going on between the Hidden Stone and Hidden Grass, which means any one of three akaski could have gotten him probably Zetsu). Plus it showed his sharingan in chapter 364, and he would be the only Uchia who Itiachi couldn't kill because he was already supposedley dead. And, it probably true, because why would he create Obito and Tobi if Obito died and Tobi is an idiot? Here is one(1) proof , kakashi's sharingan(left eye) from obito, has power that is whatever he sees it can transfer anything in other dimension/place , and just like madara/tobi/obito can travel anywhere by dimension by using his sharingan (right eye). They're both using the same sharingan and powers ('cos it come to only one person, obito, and obito himself is madara/tobi). Kakashi (in manga/anime )can't actually do what Madara/tobi/obito do 'cos he is not original uchiha, and only true uchiha can perfect the power of their own sharingan.

Tobi and Obito are absolutely not the same person(honestly we have no idea who tobi is, but he is not Madara).It was "revealed" in the episode where Tobi met Sasuke that Tobi is actually Uchiha Madara(but is later revealed he is not as Madara is brought back to life with Edo Tensei.),because he knows the reason why itachi wiped out the entire uchiha clan( which Tobi helped Itachi with),which happened after Obito was dead.The reason why people insist that Tobi and obito are the same person is because of the resemblance it their names.Possibly,because kakashi's sharingan(left eye) from obito, has power that is whatever he sees it can transfer anything in other dimension/place , and just like Tobi can travel anywhere by dimension by using his sharingan (right eye). Kakashi (in manga/anime )can't actually do what Madara/Tobi/obito do 'cos he is not original uchiha(he can access the powers of sharingan but can't deactivate it, which is why he keeps it covered), and only true uchiha can perfect the power of their own sharingan(This is wrong becausethere is plenty of proof towards it but plenty against as kakashi is able to awaken Mangyeko sharingan).
Is Tobi reallt obito?
No. Obito is dead, and has been since the Kakashi arc. Tobi is Madara Uchiha, one of the founders of the Uchiha clan and rival against the First Hokage. Before you (or other people) say "well shouldn't Madara be dead too?" remember that Hidan and Kakazu were immortal as well. How did Kakashi get the mankegyou sharingan?
Obito was found by Madara Uchiha but after a while Zetsu told Obito that Kakashi and Rin were in trouble. Obito's body was weak so Tobi let Obito where his body and Obito saw weird things in his left eye and when he got there he saw Kakashi kill Rin and so Kakashi and Obito both unlocked the mankegyou sharingan.

for real Tobi is the the 1st hokages brother the reason why the 1st hokage died was him and his brother both had the mangekyou sharingan and his brothers sharingan[uchia madra]was not as strong as his so what he did was rip the 1st hokages eyes out and replaced it with his sharinganand that's why he died of his brother uchia madra. AND UCHIHA MADRA IS TOBI. wrong Tobi died and madra was using him as a guise to order around pain and go unknown to konaha.
Is Tobi Obito or Madara Uchiha?
I have to do it in parts because it is too long PART 1) Well, Most of you were correct or close but when you think about it all the signs point to Madara being Obito. When Obito got crushed by the rocks he only got crushed on his left side and he gave his left eye to Kakashi and when you see Tobi stand up, he stands on his right side on a slouch (the side he didnt get crushed on) and on the video and on the manga you didnt actuall see him die you saw him come close to death. Some people say Zetsu got him but i don't see any evidence. I think that Madara used a jutsu or something that fused himself with Obito because Tobi has a hole in his mask where his sharingan is but it doesnt show the other side (the side with no eye) Madara saw this as an oppertunity to have a body and abilities that's why people say Madara cant be Tobi because he would be old that's a reason why he could be fused with Obito. Because he is in a young body..PART 2) On one of the chapters Pain or Tobi say I, HAVE THE POWER, THE POWER OF MADARA. Or something like that. That's why people think that Tobi is Madara but that also gives the clue that Tobi could just have the power and abilities of Madara but in Obitos body because why would Madara Have a hole on only one side of the mask. Here are some reason why it could be Obito:1.) He wears a mask with only a hole on the right side of his face where his only sharingan would be. He doesn't have another eye. His mask is also orange like Obito's googles. 2.) The hair is the same as Obito's. 3.)Madara Uchiha would be hundreds of years old as to you never seeing Obito acually die in the manga. He jusy gets covered by rocks. And his body was never recovered because they were in hostile territory. Also, this is Naruto. If you do not see them acually die, there is always a chance of them coming back. You can say Madara might have done the same things as Orochimaru so that he can live forever, but I highly doubt Uchiha Madara would do those "sick" experiments on his body. Plus he would be about the age or at least stature as Obito. 4.)When you see him stand a couple of times, he stands as if the right side of him body is disfigured. Also, every part of his body is covered so you cannot see if there are any disfigurments or not. 5.) Tobi only claims that he has Madara's power, not that he is Madara, (even though Pein calls him Madara in Chapter 384, but he might just not know Tobi's true identity. That is probably why he wears a mask). 6.) The name Tobi resembles Obito. (And Tobi is a pretty out of place name when most all of the other names are Japanese). 7.) He acts relaxed in the same manner as Obito did. 8.) Obito thinks to himself that he wishes that he could have spent more time with them, which is like a sign that a character is coming back. Also if you rearrange OBITO and switch the OB and the TO back to front, You get Tobi. And if you fuse all them ideas and put thme with the fact of madara reviving OBito from the rocks and having a body instead of being old and all the things ive previously said it all comes together and pints to MADARA+OBITO=TOBI. What is the relation between obito and Tobi?
So who's behind the mask, if Madara's in the coffin? It's Obito. Yes, it may sound ridiculous considering he's "dead," also considering there have been a hell of a lot of Tobi is Obito theories in the past. People in the manga have lived through worse than being crushed, and even if he was good, people can change in horrible ways. Databooks may also confirm Tobi to be Madara, but they also said Itachi was a bad guy. They can change according to the story. Also, remember the Tobi who offered Itachi helped had hair just like the original Madara, that was probably Madara and he could've been killed by Obito who then stole the Tobi persona.Why did both Tobi's have only one eyehole though? Well Madara probably used Izanagi at VoTE while Obito's other eye is crushed. Another thing that could support this is Tobi's jutsu seems to be a converse of Kakashi's own Kamui. Also I mentioned in the above quote how Kabuto knew this. Obviously if you attempt Edo Tensei on someone who's alive, will it work? No. So The last Edo Tensei that Kabuto summoned must be the original body of Madaara.

Is that Tobi is obito?
Yes. Tobi's identity was finally confirmed in issue 599 of the manga, as Kakashi's old team mate, Obito Uchiha. med by himself and several other characters. (such as Itachi and Kisame). That may be true (I believe it). But you also got to look at the evidence hidden. First off Tobi's teacher, the fourth hokage, uses teleportation jutsu, and Tobi has somehow improved that jutsu by dodging and escaping everyone's attacks. His right eye is only shown through his mask and that's the eye obito didn't give to kakashi. Now i don't know this for sure but something, or someone, along the way, when the enemy ninja used their earthquake techinique and left obito buried in rock, might've saved his life (use your imagination, they might explain it later on). Oh and of course Kishimoto wants us to figure out that he is obito because the name's closely related to Obito, it's not to challenging to figure out because it would be harder to explain when he DOES explain why he picked that name.
