The parent who pay child support to your legal guardian have to go to court and modify the child support order so the money goes to you. This is usually only done when the minor goes to college etc but if the minor still lives at home the money goes to the parent/legal guardian to pay for electricity, rent, food, etc.
If you are their legal guardian, you can collect child support from both parents of the child. If you are not their legal guardian and they just live with you, you do not have rights to child support.

No. At twenty an individual is no longer a child (minor) but a legal adult, no longer the mandatory responsibility of a legal guardian, and not eligible for child support.
Of course not. Child support is for the support of a minor child. Why should the child be deprived of financial support if her mother dies. The order can be modified and it will be paid over to her legal guardian if that person is not the other parent.Of course not. Child support is for the support of a minor child. Yes, guardianship as well as child support has to be established by a court order.
No. A child cannot file a lawsuit. It needs to be brought on his behalf by a legal guardian. However, child support is an issue between parents. It is not paid to the child. In most cases, grandparents cannot receive child support for letting a runaway child live with them unless they have legal custody or guardianship of the child. Child support is typically paid to the parent or legal guardian who has custody of the child. Grandparents can seek legal custody or guardianship through the court system to potentially become eligible for child support.
I don't see any reason why not. For more information see www.SteveShorr.com/child_support.htm
Because they are not the child's parents, guardians are not required to pay support.
Either the legal guardian of the child, or any agency acting on the child's behalf.
