well, it all starts with how much salt and unneeded sugars your body takes in. also, Diabetes can be a hereditary disease meaning if someone in your family has some type of diabetes then the next generation can obtain it.

Your body needs a consistent amount of everything in your metabolism so normally insulin is stored in fat and if you have too much fat then your disrupting the consistency of the insulin leading to diabetes :/

Type 1 has no difinite cause, but it is NOT poor nutrition. It is auto immune. Type 2 can be caused by too much sugar for too long but also it is hereditary and caused by being obese
