I believe a person must except that Christ died and rose again that we may be saved. We can not enter the kingdom of God except by Jesus Christ.
Then in that case not a single person would be saved, and we all would go to hell.
While alive there is always hope to attain heaven, but after death, if the person has not been saved they will end up in hell. In hell there is absolutely no hope of escape. It is the final and worst possible destination for the human soul.
There's 2 things to consider to get the right answer. For starters, the term 'hell' comes from the Greek and Hebrew words 'Sheol' and 'Hades', both which refer to the common grave of mankind (even animals). When people go there they return "to dust", a.k.a. break down to the bare elements they were created from and cease to exist. (Ecclesiastes 3:19-20) During this breakdown process, the person feels/knows nothing, completely unconscious. (Ecclesiastes 9:5, 6 & 10) The idea that hell is a fiery place of torment run by the Devil is a doctrine that was drummed up by clergy (who were inspired by pagan religions) to keep parishioners in fear. It is not a Bible teaching. The majority of those that die that are righteous (along with those that die before learning anything about Jehovah God or His principles, a.k.a. "the unrighteous") will be brought back to life on Earth. (Acts 24:15; John 5:28-29) Only a select few of people will go to Heaven, all which are handpicked by Jehovah and Jesus. (Revelation 14:1-4) As for being saved, one must live a life in line with Bible teachings and due so to the end of one's life. This increases one's chances of being saved. (Matthew 24:13; Zephaniah 2:3) So in short-Everyone that dies goes to 'hell' (except those that are going to Heaven), but if they're good/innocent or have no knowledge of Jehovah they'll be brought back to life. In addition, there will be righteous people that will survive Armageddon and will never experience death at all. (Proverbs 2:21-22; Revelation 7:9 & 14) (New World Translation of the Holy Scriptures)
A:Jesus is called the Saviour because people believethere is a hell to be saved from. Whether or not there really is a a hell becomes irrelevant as long as there are people who believe there is, and believe that Jesus can save them from hell.
Some common questions people have about hell include: What is hell like? Who goes to hell? Is hell eternal? Can people be saved from hell?
no, the spirit does not reside there. once a person is dead, the spirit goes back to the Lord if the soul is saved or go to hell if it is not.
If you mean by Hell as the realm of Satan and his angels, then the answer is no they will not be saved. They chose to follow Satan and have been doing his bidding since being cast out of heaven.
They probably have a false idea about hell. They may think hell is going to be a great party with all their mates.
save from sin
A:You need to visualise what you mean by 'saved', and no doubt you will then say, "Saved from hell." To be saved from hell, you presumably need to believe in hell, since most people in the world do not believe in hell, either having no religious belief or following a religion that does not teach of hell. Christians believe in hell, and they have two different views on salvation. In one camp are those who believe that all that is needed for salvation is to believe in the divinity of Jesus. A more rational camp believes that salvation requires not only belief in the divinity of Jesus but also forgiveness of sins. Thus, you have three choices: 1) you do not need salvation because hell is a theological invention to justify religion; 2) you must believe in the divinity of Jesus; 3) you must not only believe in the divinity of Jesus but also seek forgiveness of sins.
No one can say if another person is going to hell. That is between the person and God.
According to the Bible, when a person dies they simply return "to dust" a.k.a. break down to the bare elements they were created from and cease to exist. (Ecclesiastes 3:19-20) During this process, the person is completely unconscious, completely unaware of what's happening. (Ecclesiastes 9:5, 6 & 10) Jesus had compared it to sleep. (John 11:11 & 14) Simply put, death is the opposite of life, so when a person dies they're not alive. (New World Translation of the Holy Scriptures)
