I'm not sure if you mean that the negativity is being directed at the teacher or if the teacher is directing the child to be negative to authority figures other than the teacher himself. Either way it is devisive and harmful to a child's healthy respect for authority and without question is detrimental to self-esteem and most every other aspect of the child's self-perception.
