A tsunami is like any other natural disaster it ruins everything, but a tsunami only ruins it if you live near the ocean. The ocean because that's where the underwater earthquakes happen and cause tsunamis.
Tsunamis have a devastating effect on everything they come in contact with, including trees. Tsunamis will rip trees, roots and all, right out of the ground and carry them a long with a massive wall of water. Indeed it is the tumble of trees and debris that is very damaging to both man and buildings.
