Usually the best way is to just limit portion sizes a bit, stop eating sugar and start learning your body. Start really thinking while you are eating that when you are full. And end it there. You will start this way learning how to naturally regulate your portion sizes to be healthy without counting calories. This is the best time for this, since you are still relatively young.

Boys your age are sadly most just starting cutting calories drastically. I did that when I was a teenager and it took me years to get my metabolic state back to normal. I wouldn't recommend it.
