Depends on where you live. In some parts of the US, being openly gay can get you assaulted or killed. Gay kids frequently get beaten up in school, so we learn to hide our sexual feelings. Sometimes, gay kids even get thrown out of their homes by their own families. Keeping such a big part of who you are hidden can be exhausting and make you bitter, fearful, and angry.
On the other hand, if you live in a welcoming community, your life will be pretty much the same as everyone else's.
The term "gay lifestyle" is a somewhat derogatory term for a gay person who doesn't hide in the closet. Being gay doesn't mean a person has a different lifestyle.Gay people pay bills, go to movies, have careers and raise children. There is nothing about the life of a gay person that's different from the life of a straight person, except the sexual orientation.
no it's a lifestyle. Answer Well, I'm not gay but I believe that being gay is not an option for most people who are gay. I believe they are born that way and nothing can change it no matter what.
life passes very lightly :)
Study after study has shown that being gay has absolutely no effect on performance and morale.
First, There is no such thing as a gay lifestyle. Being gay affects who you date or marry, and not how you live your life. Second, if you are sexually attracted to people of your own, sex, there's nothing you can do to change that. Third, if you don't like the lifestyle you are living, then change it. This is your life, and you need to shape it. It's not enough to "hate the lifestyle", you have to know what lifestyle you want. And -- trust me on this -- there's someone of the same sex out there who wants the same things. That's when you realize that the plumbing isn't all that important.
the right word is "affect."
There is no such thing as a gay lifestyle. This is a derogatory word for a gay person's life.Nobody "changes" to be gay. People are either born gay, or they are not. What you are seeing is a change in society to accept gay people and make them feel comfortable being who they are.
Johnny Matthis came out in 1982. He said in 1982 "Homosexuality is a lifestyle I've become accustomed to". Apparently he received numerous death threats after making said comment and has since tried to avoid the subject. Today we do not refer to being gay as a lifestyle, since gay people live the same kinds of lives as straight people do.
Does your lifestyle affect whether or not you get aids?
No, mainly because there is no such thing as a gay lifestyle. This is an outdated and ignorant term for a gay person's sexual orientation. Gay people live the same lifestyles that straight people live. The fact that Daryl Coley is gay has nothing to do with lifestyle.
The way a person (gay or straight) speaks, is generally not a choice.
Gay adults affect kids in exactly the same way that straight adults affect kids.
