Depending on how much importance was placed on hygiene by the child's parents while the child was being raised. Everyone will spend different amounts of time depending on who they are.

Child abuse affects a way the child thinks and acts. If a child was abused, for example hit multiple times, every time someone raises a hand(for a high five or something) they might twitch or something. Their ideas, thoughts, and dreams might be affected. Bad dreams, terrible thoughts, and they might think abuse is okay and abuse other people.
Personal factors that affect child development include financial situation, housing and parenting style. Other personal factors worthy of mentioning are the relationship with siblings and extended family and health practices.
I would believe that this answer is based off of a personal opinion. However, I would say that the second worst form of child abuse besides physical would be mental. Mental can cover anywhere to physical, verbal and emotional abuse.
= Emotional abuse is hard and I think worse in some cases than physical abuse. Bruises heal but being emotionally scared can make a child angry, insecure and withdrawn. in my personal opinon, i think the reason abuse started among children is because their easy, their vulnerable and as the absuser being an adult or older child, they will believe anything you say. they believe that is they tell, it will only get worse. and the reason adults abuse their children, in any form or shape, i think is because not that they hate the child, but because, they have their own personal issues, that they take out in the child because their an easy target.
