Deja-vu can only be a beneficial effect if one can harness this sort of pre-knowledge and use it positively in one's life. Basically, if you have the ability to see into the future, but you don't recognize it as a possible future, then it will have no positive impact on one's life, it will rather be a mere cooincidence that you had deja-vu. However, if you have the ability to see a future event that hasn't quite occurred yet, but you do recognize this as a possible future event and also the fact that you may be able to see into the future, you can prepare for that event (knowing all the possibilities that could come out of that event) and you will be more prepared then anyone else not knowing that information.

In all reality, understanding the deja-vu event before it happens is very rare, usually you will find yourself in the situation first, then recognize deja-vu afterwards. Its about as hard as controlling your dreams. Simply speaking, you'll have the dream, then reflect on it afterwards; its very hard to alter dreams while you are dreaming, similar to that of predicting deja-vu before it is experienced within that particular situation.
