Each mineral has a characteristic density (or range of densities), so if the measured density is a close match to a mineral you know, it MAY be that mineral; if it doesn't match, it is something different.
it tells them mass per volume
tendency to float
Density can be used to identify a material by how much you get as an 'answer'. because if it is the same material then probably the density value will be similar. -By Anna 6-4
density
density and be used to identify an element because of the types of molecules. Use D = M v
it tells them mass per volume
streak, hardness, density, luster.
tendency to float
Hardness alone is not a good way to identify a mineral, other properties such as streak color, cleavage, opacity, ect also need to be taken into consideration. There is no "quick way" to properly identify a mineral.
They both help to identify a mineral

The Mohs scale is used to identify the mineral property of hardness only.
Color and weight
To help with low bone mineral density you should start by drinking more milk, and getting a calcium pill.
the color and streak or luster
It is called the streak test. It can help identify the mineral by the color of the streak that is left.
The worst way to identify a mineral is by tasting it. When you are classifying a mineral by tasting it doesn't do much. So taste is the worst way to identify a mineral.
