How can dingy be used in a sentence?

"Dingy" (DIN-jee) is an adjective. In a sentence: "No matter how many times she washed it, the old shirt still came out a dingy yellowish-gray color". Not to be confused with the word "dinghy" (DING-ee, and note difference in spelling) which is a small boat.
