Well what you need to do is try to be totally honest with him/her. Tell him/her you can do better... You can show him/her that you truly like him/her. Try to get him/her nice gifts. And when him/her starts to trust you and start liking you again you can try asking them to be your boyfriend/girlfriend. Hope this helps. It did for me :)
