Any hair straightner could burn your hair. Not just GHD's. The best thing to do is use heat protection, eg, sprays and cremes. These are deisgned to protect your hair from starightneing, so it does not frazzel.

I have ghds so its quite easy but it should work with any good straigtner , all you do is put the ends of your hair in the straightner and wrap you hair around it hold the straightner there for about 20 secons and u should have a perfect curl .
