Most laptops allow you to replace the ram chips with better ones. There are videos on YouTube of people replacing ram in laptops, but posting links on this site is not permitted.
The exact action depends on laptop and some laptops do not allow that (ram welded to motherboard, all new apple laptops do that for example)

∙ 6y agoThe main improvement would be to increase the amount of RAM. That will tend to make the computer faster, since an insufficient amount of RAM will make the computer use virtual memory, which is much slower. If you don't already what type of RAM your computer needs, or how to change, I suggest you let a computer technician help you with this.
