it all depends on how much money you want to spend. a hi per. cam, heads, and intake will do it, but you can't always change one thing to get good results. example , bolting on a big carb. without changing the cam, or heads will sometimes hurt, more than help.
it has more than any Honda, after all isn't that what matters? I have a 1996 Chevy Tahoe 4x4 with the small block 350. It pumped out about 250hp when it was new so I'm sure you are close to that.
If it has the big block 396 in it, yes it is worth more.
They are both the same engines. You refer to a long block as being a compleat engine assy. 350 small block is what it means. It's a 350 and that is called a small block.
No. 305's have small valves due to the 305's small bore. Large valve heads can't be used on the 305 because the valves will hit the cylinder block. 350 heads breathe MUCH better than 305 heads. Stick with the 350 heads.
17,500 - 18,500. The ISX will weigh more the same rated at 450 horsepower at it would at 600 horsepower.. the displacement, block size, etc. are the same.
Depends on the year. i read that a stock 400 has less horse power than a 350sbc or an evo 5 engine, due to carb size and other miner things..but have more toque
The large block has more mass than the small one. Same principle with rocks.
ninja it has more horsepower to kick it off the block
327 is a Small block. 265 thru 400 were small blocks but to confuse you more the 396 thru 454 were big blocks. Unless you really want to be confused, I won't mention the 348 was a big block. :)
Sorry that's not nearly enough info. Year, make, Model, And more details.
Depends on the engine that is turning 1,000 rpm's. A larger engine develops way more horsepower than a small engine at 1,000 rpm's.
Although I do not know the answer you need to be more specific. There is more than one small block Chevy. There is the 262, 265, 283, 302, 305, 307, 327, 350, & 400. All of these were small blocks made at different times, but they do not all weigh the same. The basic block weights approximately 181. The weight differences through out the years for the bare block did not vary more than a few pounds.
