If you have been going out for a while, you need to ask yourself why you are shy around him. If it is because you feel embarrassed or ashamed by him, then this isn't a healthy relationship. Likewise if he is embarrassed by you. If you are uncomfortable because people are judging you then it is something you can overcome. If you are naturally shy, tell him you feel like this and ask him to be supportive. Get him to approach you at school more, come up and say hi or talk to your friends etc. You don't have to go all out into PDA's but if you really like him then you should make an effort. He is your boyfriend so you should like him and trust him, and know that he likes you. If he didn't you wouldn't be together! When you see him take a deep breath, smile and go up to him.
