Spiders are useful animals. They keep the population of insects down so that the insects don't eat your crops or bite you as much. Don't kill them - just move them to a place where their webs won't be in your way.
The simple answer is - evolution. Insects, spiders etc are fairly simple animals - and thus were the first creatures to evolve. It wasn't until my later that, further down the evolutionary timeline, birds and mammals were formed.
Sloths hang upside down from trees and move very, very slowly.

Some spider monkeys eat insects, but not spiders. Their name comes from the way they look and move. With their long, furry, spindly limbs and tails, they look like spiders moving through the trees and vines of the rainforest.
