Metals can be shaped on heating ,when we heat a metal its molecules start moving and the kinetic energy of the molecules increases which results in low molecular attraction between the molecules. Which loosens the strength of the metal therefore, resulting

the metal to change its shape easily even if very less force is applied on the metal externally.

What is a property of solid metals capable of being shaped?

A property of solid metals that make them capable of being shaped is their malleability. Malleability refers to the ability of metals to be hammered, rolled, or pressed into different shapes without breaking. This property allows metals to be easily transformed into various forms for different applications.

In relation to metals what is the meaning of malleable?

It is that property in which a metal can be extended or shaped by beating with a hammer or by the pressure of rollers. Metals become more malleable when heated.

Why are metals good for making pots?

Metals are good for making pots because they are generally durable, conduct heat well for even cooking, and are resistant to high temperatures. Additionally, metal pots are often lightweight and can be easily shaped into different sizes and styles.

Is brittleness a characteristic of a metals?

Brittleness is not a characteristic of most metals. Metals are usually ductile and malleable, meaning they can be bent and shaped without breaking. However, some metals, such as cast iron, can exhibit brittleness under certain conditions.
