Only God's presence makes something "holy."

The seventh day of the repetitive Divinely-inspired seven-day week: God [Jesus Christ - John 1:3 & Mark 2:28] "made it holy" [Gen.2:3] by putting His presence in it, sanctifying it and setting it apart from the other days of the week for His holy purpose, so that man might "remember" creation and his Creator... a blessing most men in these last days have ignored, broken, and otherwise forgot.

When Moses spied the "burning bush" and approached it:

"...God called unto him out of the midst of the bush, and said, Moses, Moses... Draw not nigh hither: put off thy shoes from off thy feet, for the place whereon thou standest is HOLY GROUND." (Ex.3:4-5)

Why was that patch of ground holy, and not where he stood further away? It was Moses' proximity to God's presence in the bush.

The same is true for a "person." It's the Holy Spirit [God's presence] dwelling within him that makes him holy, teaches, develops and perfects God's holiness in him, and not any quality or talent the man may possess.

"...let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God." (II Cor.7:1)

"You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; to be made new in the attitude of your minds; and to put on the new self, created to be like God in True Righteousness and Holiness." (Eph.4:22-24 NIV)

"For God did not call us to be impure, but to live a holylife. Therefore, he who rejects this instruction does not reject man but God, who gives you His Holy Spirit." (I Thess.4:7-8 NIV)

"...we have had fathers of our flesh which corrected us, and we gave them reverence: shall we not much rather be in subjection unto the Father of Spirits, and live? For they verily for a few days chastened us after their own pleasure; but He for our profit, that we might be partakers of His Holiness." (Heb.12:9-10)

"As obedient children, do not conform to the evil desires you had when you lived in ignorance. But just as He who called you is Holy, so be holy in all you do; for it is written: 'Be holy, because I am Holy." (I Peter 1:14-16 NIV; Lev.11:44)

Only God's presence can make something holy.
