What two ways are there in which a leaf is adapted to photosynthesis?

Leaves contain something in their cells called chlorophyll, this allows them to photosynthesise.

What veins make photosynthesis?

Veins don't. They photosynthesise through the use of chloropyll (the stuff that makes the plant green) in the cells on the leaf.

What 2 plant cells don't have chloroplasts?

onion cells dont contain chloroplasts as they are underground so cant photosynthesise

How might the distribution of leaf pigments differ in a leaf that is dark green in color vs one which is lighter green?

A darker green plant means that it has more chlorophyll to photosynthesise. A brighter leaf colour on the other hand shows that, that plant does not require so much chlorophyll to photosynthesise.

What is required for photosynthesis but not respiration?

Chloroplasts. They are little things found only in plant cells which help them photosynthesise. In order to photosynthesise you must has chloroplasts.

What is the difference between a leaf and a root cell?

It doesn't have chloroplasts because its underground and doesn't need to photosynthesise.

Does a leaf have cells?

Yes, a leaf has cells. They have A LOT of cells

Is chloroplast in an animal cell?

No - animal cells do not contain chloroplasts. These are involved in photosynthesis. They are found in plant cells (and other cells that photosynthesise).

What kind of cell does photosynthesise take place in?

plant cells, those containing chlorophyll.

What is the difference between a leaf cell and root hair cell?

Leaves' cells are made to absorb sunlight and produce sugar for the plant. Roots' cells are made to absorb water.

What cell structure do animal cells lack that prevent them from preforming the process of photosynthesis?

Animal cells lack chloroplasts and as such cannot photosynthesise.

Which process takes place in the cells of Spirulina that does not occur in the cells of a human?

Spirulina is a cyanobacterium that obtains its energy through photosynthesis.Human cells can not photosynthesise
