One must first meet the minimum qualifications, such as being over twenty-one, have a high-school diploma, be a US citizen, no prior convictions or issues, and a few other things. One will then have to submit an application to the Alaska Department of Public Safety and pass a fitness exam. Then classes and training would begin.
