Self-assessment is helpful for mental/emotional health. It lets you look into yourself and look at the aspects that are important to your basic identity. This is only between you and your mind, so I wouldn't say social or physical.
Assessment as learning is a form of assessment where students are actively involved in the assessment process to monitor and regulate their own learning. Self Assessment is a powerful tool in the learning process. This is when you reflect on your own progress or practice, thinking about what went well and what didn't and why, in order to improve. It is something we do, sometimes without even realising it, that makes us life-long learners.
