Note:
The surviving Tsarnaev brother could face up to 17 counts of murder, according to a BBC article posted a short time ago.
Three were killed in the Boston MARATHON BOMBINGS.
A police officer and the other Tsarnaev brother were killed later that week.
That's 5 counts, right?
Question: How/why 17 counts of murder if there were five (5) deaths?

Yes. A person can be tried for different murder charges at the same time. A jury can be asked to find the defendant guilty of murder in the 1st degree, 2nd degree, manslaughter, etc.
Yes, if you killed more than one person. Every death is a sperate offense.

Both men can be charged with murder, so can the driver of the getaway car even though he/she was not in the store at the time. And, even if no murder was committed during the robbery, if a police officer happened to shoot and kill one of the robbers on their way out, the others involved could be charged with murder.
It goes something like this: Two people are discovered to be dead. There are signs (such as bullet holes, stab wounds) that they did not die of natural causes. The police investigate. There is evidence that these two people were killed by a specific person, who killed them deliberately, for some kind of personal gain, rather than in self defense. The police therefore lay charges of two counts of first degree murder.
A person can only be charged with one type of homicide for each person who was killed. If a pregnant woman was killed and the fetus was at least half term, then there are two homicides with which a person can be charged. Vehicular homicide is typically a less serious offense than murder. If evidence exists that the driver purposely ran over an individual with the intent to kill him, and did kill him, the driver can be charged with murder.
Complicity to murder is when you have something to do with the murder... EX: if you set up two people to meet and one of them gets killed you are guilty because if it would have never been for you the two people would have never crossed paths.
Depends on who bought it.
George W. Bush signed a law where anyone who was charged with murder of the mother and the fetus died as well could be charged with two counts of murder.
Not unless he A.) killed the people then stuck them in the back then crashed B.) Purposely hit them. If it was an accident he would charged with manslaughter.
Two people can be charged with the same crime. Double Jeopardy refers to charging one person with something, the accused being found not guilty in a trial, then being charged with the same crime again - without any new evidence.
They were charged of armed robbery and stealing over 1.7 million daolars yaa
Usually, both of you.
The Richmond Hill explosion was an incident in November 2012, that killed two people and injured seven others in Richmond Hill, Indianapolis, Indiana. Three people associated with the house next to that of the deceased were charged with murder in December 2012.
