Assuming you mean a similar disaster as that one has happened and cannot happen 'again'.
Disasters cannot be eliminated completely. They never have been and they never will be.
What we can do is take all reasonable precautions, apparently not done in the case of Chernobyl.
Disasters and tragedy are part of life and of all societies, they cannot be totally eliminated.
Any number of ways, most of which are trivially simple:
In other words follow procedure!
yes at one point in history it can
Wasn't it punishment enough to die by radiation poisoning? All the operators, technicians, and supervisors there that night got lethal doses. Now the engineers that designed such an unstable unsafe reactor, and the bureaucrats that insisted on meeting schedule and skipping important tests to meet schedule, something could be done to them...
mainly we can tell that the communication duiring disaster is very inevitable most probaly a radio-fm am could be the best of all also the use of satellite ensure good and quorate mode of communication in the times of a disaster
I was under the rain cloud that went over UK, as young boy. later in life I was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis and had my colon removed. Questions are raised was Chernobyl to blame, its a disease caused by your immune system overreacting.
The short answer is, the amount of time that passed between the earliest warnings and the first explosion was probably about half a minute, during which nothing could be done to prevent it. The Chernobyl Disaster happened during an experimental safety test as the plant was being shut down. It resulted from a combination of flaws in plant design, the design of the test, and human errors. It will probably never be fully understood why the conditions were precisely what they were. The result was that conditions were abnormal, but they were expected to be so. By the time anyone knew anything was going wrong, it was already too late do do anything about it. The experiment began at 1:23:04. The emergency shutdown button was pressed thirty six seconds later, though no one knows why. The time it took to insert the control rods was about 20 seconds, but temperatures in the core were going up so fast, the rods broke and got stuck. The first explosion, a steam explosion that blew the reactor apart, took place before 1:24, and the second, chemical, explosion was took place about three seconds later.
could they? or would they? it depends who you are. i couldent! could they? or would they? I coulde'nt but somee people could.
By not doing that carelessly planned turbine rundown experiment immediately after shutdown of the reactor and postponing it until just before restartup would have been much safer. But there are dozens of other single things that could have also prevented.
yes
One city that is often compared to Chernobyl in terms of current state is Pripyat, which was affected by the Chernobyl disaster. Pripyat remains abandoned and is a ghost town due to high radiation levels. The area has become a popular tourist destination for those interested in exploring abandoned spaces and learning about the effects of the disaster.
A hazard becomes a disaster when the hazard becomes spread out over a large area. For example, the Chernobyl disaster started as a small hazard which became something that could not be controled. Eventually the plant exploded and created the worst nuclear disaster in history. The land will not be habitable for centuries.
The only effect as I remember was that sheep grazing on open land in the north of England became slightly contaminated and could not be sold for consumption
They could have prevented WW2 by giving in to the Nazis. -That was not acceptable to the British people.
The Mexican oil spill could have been prevented. All oil spills could have been prevented if it weren't for careless people! An automatic switch should have been installed on the inside of the pipe.
how could apartheid have been prevented.
people could have put helpful chemicals in the soil
Disaster could be forseen by technological instruments based on physics. Forseen danger could be conveyed to people by different communicative methods and media.
it leaked but now they fixed it all up so people could visit it again
know disaster,no disaster
