'Wisdom Poety' is a modern term for what is properly called 'Gnomic Poetry': that is a poem which directly offers advice on how to live your life.

The Anglo saxon poem 'The Fortunes of Men' describes lots of different ways that you can die prematurely - and then says that since dying prematurely is so common you might as well just let God deal with it.

The Fates of Men can be described as wisdom poetry because it reflects on the transient and unpredictable nature of human life, offering insights on destiny, free will, and the inevitability of fate. Through its poetic language and philosophical meditations, it conveys profound truths about the human experience and the mysteries of existence.
