Erosion occurs when the soil breaks because of strong water discharge during heavy storm.

Wind is also a primary cause of erosion when it blows hard enough on unprotected soil to lift and move it away. Ocean waves, river currents, and glacial movement also erode large amounts of rock and soil.

Actually, the erosion occurs because of the impact of the fluid particles on to the surface of the solid materials which are subject to this fluid flow, and in a fluid flow the amount of fluid volume per time unit. For example, L/S (Litre per second) defines the speed of the fluid element impacts. The power of this impact will increase if the direction of flow is more perpendicular to the surface. However, the amount of erosion also depends on the inherent forces between molecules of materials which are subject to fluid flow.

As an example, in an elbow in a piping element, where the vector direction of the flow changes, there are more impacts and then more erosion occurs. In this situation, if we increase the flow speed, the erosion rate will increase.

Erosion is the displacement of solids, differing from weathering, which is a BREAKDOWN in minerals. There are 5 types of erosion: gravity, water, shoreline, ice, and wind. Gravity erosion drives the sediments downward, with rate depending on the slope of the place. Water erosion utilizes water to carry sediments away. Shoreline erosion occurs through the currents and waves of the water and also tides in both exposed and sheltered shores. Ice erosion wears away sediments with debris under glaciers similar to sandpaper on wood in a process called abrasion. Finally, wind erosion can carry particles away and also cause them to collide into another solid, causing abrasion.

That is when erosion happens for any questions call 207 noyfb call please.also erosion happens when running water, sea waves, wind, or glaciers pick up materials from the earths surface and carry them to other locations.the actions of erosion and deposition work together to alter existing landforms and create new ones.

When soil erosion happens, the earth's soil begins to break apart into small pieces. Sometimes, if the soil erosion happens on a mountain or a steep hill and there are houses on the top of that piece of land, all the houses will fall and break apart. Some people even die from soil erosion. Soil erosion is really dangerous and harmful. Especially for the big soil erosion.

Weathering of rock is a consequence of exposure to sunlight, pressure release, freeze-thaw cycles, dissolution by acidic rainfall, and abrasion, to name a few. Erosion of the weathered rock particles occurs as the pieces are transported by gravity, wind, ice, and water to a different location.

Water causes erosion and also wind by eating away the soil, and rock. When a cat paws at a tree it also erodes.

When and where does soil erosion happen?

Soil erosion happens when wind or rain blow or wash away the soil. Dust storms and landslides are soil erosion, often encouraged by intensive plowing of the land or tree felling on mountain slopes.

What happen when a heavy machine causes erosion?

Erosion is the washing away of the top soil which is rich in nutrients by the activities of man and animals. When a heavy machine causes erosion, it makes the soil looses it's nutrients.

What countries does soil erosion happen in the world?

Soil erosion happens in virtually all countries of the world. It happens wherever wind or water (as in floods, rivers, oceans, etc.) can get at soil. Some countries may have advanced systems in place to handle soil erosion, but all countries must deal with it.

Does erosion create soil?

It's the other way around. Erosion takes soil away and removes it. Erosion is bad for the soil. The more erosion there is, the less soil there is.
