We need to burn fossil fuels now to produce electricity and power our transport. When we do this we release carbon that has been buried for millions of years.

Before we can stop burning fossil fuels we need to develop other ways of generating electricity, like better ways of using solar, wind, water and thermal energy. When we can do this efficiently then we can stop using fossil fuels.

What is one limitation of using fossil fuels?

One limitation of using fossil fuels is that they are non-renewable resources, meaning they will eventually run out. Additionally, burning fossil fuels releases greenhouse gases that contribute to climate change and air pollution.

Why is solar energy considered better than fossil fuels?

Solar energy is considered better than fossil fuels because it is a renewable and clean source of energy that does not produce harmful greenhouse gas emissions, unlike fossil fuels which contribute to climate change and air pollution.

Difference between alternative and fossil fuels?

Alternative fuels are renewable and produce fewer greenhouse gas emissions compared to fossil fuels, such as gasoline and coal, which are non-renewable and contribute significantly to air pollution and climate change. Examples of alternative fuels include biofuels, hydrogen, and electricity. Overall, alternative fuels are considered more sustainable and environmentally friendly than fossil fuels.

What are the fossil fuels?

Fossil fuels are natural fuels formed from the remains of ancient organisms that have decomposed and been subjected to high heat and pressure over millions of years. The main types of fossil fuels are coal, oil, and natural gas, which are non-renewable resources that provide the majority of the world's energy. Burning fossil fuels releases carbon dioxide, a greenhouse gas that contributes to climate change.

What is the relationship between fossil fuels and the greenhouse effect Burning fossil fuels?

Burning fossil fuels releases greenhouse gases such as carbon dioxide into the atmosphere. These gases trap heat and contribute to the greenhouse effect, leading to global warming and climate change. Reducing the use of fossil fuels is crucial in mitigating the impact of climate change.

What led humans to burn more fossil fuels?

The Industrial Revolution and technological advancements led to increased demand for energy, driving the widespread use of fossil fuels. Fossil fuels like coal, oil, and natural gas are abundant, easily accessible, and provide a concentrated source of energy, making them attractive for meeting the growing energy needs of society. However, the environmental impact of burning fossil fuels has become a major concern due to their contribution to climate change.

Has the use of fossil fuels changed over time?

it will change if we use lots of fossil fuels. Because we cannot make fossil feuls because it is from long time ago. from:Alex

How do people benefit from fossil fuels?

People benefit from fossil fuels because they provide energy for transportation, electricity, and heating. Fossil fuels also support various industries and contribute to economic growth and development. However, the burning of fossil fuels is a major contributor to air pollution and climate change.

What is the negative impact of fossil fuels on the environment?

Fossil fuels contribute to air pollution and greenhouse gas emissions, leading to climate change. Extraction and burning of fossil fuels also result in habitat destruction, water pollution, and negative health impacts on humans and wildlife.
