Check the spare tire sensor.
If the tire pressure is correct, the sensor should turn off by itself after a brief drive. It will not turn off if the battery is bad in one of the sensors mounted inside the wheel or there is some other problem with the sensor.
You can not turn off the tire pressure monitoring system if that is what you are asking. You can not turn off the tire pressure monitoring system if that is what you are asking.
fill tires with proper air pressure, if the light remains on after a short drive you probably have a failed tire pressure sensor. Replacement of sensor necessary.
I dont know how to turn that sensor off; although, i do have a 2006 tundra and if your spare tire is low that light will come on as well so you might want to check that out.
If all tires are inflated to 36 psi and the light is still on, you have a sensor issue and will have to take in for service. The dealer has a special tool that can communicate with each sensor (one in each tire) to find the bad one.
fill tires to 30 psi, had that problem fixed it today
Behind the protective panel that's behind the left-front tire. Turn the steering wheel all the way to the left, then remove the panel, and there they are. (There are 4.)
Just did this yesterday on my '00 GSE. Open the fuse panel, (open front passenger door, open (spring-clipped) side panel of dash. Turn ignition to on, (ie, not engine on). In fuse panel theres a red 'reset' button. Press and hold 2-3 seconds until 'low tire' light flashes. Turn off ignition, turn back on. Voila. No light.
find the tire pressure reset button on the lower trim panel, to the left of the steering column. (sometimes its hidden vey low on the panel) turn the key on (engine off), and hold the button in until the tire pressure light flashes 3 times. youre done!
Check in the drivers side wheel well, you maty have to turn the tire to gain aaccess to the panel where it is located ......
Check your tyre pressure is correct then drive for about a few minutes after that the red stop light and sensor should go out.
