There is no feature in Windows Movie Maker that allows you to add an effect to all the clips in your project. Windows Movie Maker is a very basic video editing software application with limited features.
Unfortunately, you will have to add the effects individually.
Import your media items (pictures, video, music). Drag them down into the tracks of the Time-line or into the Storyboard. Click Play in the Preview pane to see the results.
Adding audio/music is easy in Windows Movie Maker. First, find the music that you want to add to your movie and import it into your project. Adjust the volume with the slider.You can add both music and narration to the Audio/Music track in Windows Movie Maker. Both can play at the same time in your published movie. You can then adjust the audio levels to determine which audio will play louder than the other in your movie.
How to import(insert) clips(media) into Windows Movie Maker:> Click File, and then click Import Media Items.> Navigate to the file you want to import, and then click Import.> You can import several files at one time. For consecutive files, click the first file in the list, press and hold down the SHIFT key, and then click the last file in the list. For files that are not consecutive, press and hold down the CTRL key, and then click each file that you want to import.
On the left on the programme there is a drop down bar, it is divided up into sections so look for the one that says 'Import'. Then click on Audio or Music and then click on your file you want to import. Then, simple drag and drop it where you want on the time line. If you have a different version of Movie Maker it may be different to mine (vista). So, go to file and then click 'import media items'. You should be able to find it. Hope this has helped :)

You can add music and sound effects through Windows Movie Maker, but first you must make it a gif file. I don't quite get what you mean by pictures unless you mean sprites. You make them by paint. Step-by-Step to make pivot file to a gif 1.Click 'save animation' under file. Hit the down arrow on the save screen and click gif. 2. Make 'frame delay' 9/100ths of a second and shrink frames by 1/2 uncheck everything.(feel free to experiment with settings) 3. Open Windows Movie Maker and click 'Import Video' 4.Get Music from Windows Media Player. You'll have to surf the web for sound effects.
