There's no thesaurus as such. Open Office does have a massive dictionary built in - and any words not contained in the dictionary are questioned during the spell-check. The user has an option to either correct a spelling error or add new words to the dictionary. Any new words are incorporated within the OpenOffice dictionary, as opposed to being saved in a 'user dictionary'
If you misspell a word & go to the spelling & grammar check, it will have choices & 1 of them will be add to dictionary. Click on that.

Inputting proper nouns and slang, etc into the word processing dictionary is a great way to avoid this. Just right click on the offending word, & click add to dictionary
Most answers should not include your username, so there is little reason to add it to the dictionary. We also use one common dictionary, not a personal one. If you have a common English word which should be in the WikiAnswers dictionary, you can suggest it in the Community Forums.

When you ask or answer a question, there is a check-box that asks if you want to add this question to your watchlist - the default is "yes" so if you don't remember telling us to, then it is automatically on your list! WikiAnswers will email you when your questions are answered, updated, or edited.
