don't do it unless you know how and if you did you wouldn't be asking adjusting carbs is an art form so I sugest you find an old mechanic ie; someone in ther fifties they are about the only guys left that know how to adjusat carbs
how do you adjust the float level on a 650 holly single pumper
holly perform makes a kit to do a swap like that must be other by now
Yes it will just be sure you use the wright carb. base gasket.
This depends on what the carburetor is used for but, a jet in the 60 to 70 range will be a good start if your using normal gasoline.
First of all take the carburetor completely apart and soak in carburetor cleaner for about one hour then wash in hot water and blow it out good with air .In stall new needle and seat, gaskets and pump diaphram.there is a flat screw on the side of the bowl, the float level is correct when the gas is level with the bottom of this hole,,to set this the ajusting screw is located on top of the bowl, loosen the lock nut and turn the screw one way or the other till the gas is level with the bottom of the hole, this needs to be done with the carburetor on and the enging running, the fuel and air ajusting screws turn them all the way in and then back off 1 1/2 turns and adjust the choke by looseing the 3 screws and turning the round black plastic housing to the left or right leaving the choke flap just about shut with the engine cold..good luck
most carb flooding is caused by a bad float causing wrong float level or a bad needle and seat both are easy and cheap to fix
You need to have the carburetor rebuilt by someone that knows carburetors real good. There is 2 well plugs in the bottom of the fuel bowl that are leaking fuel stright into the intake. They need to be resealed, and not just anyone no's how to do that. ARE you can just by another Carburetor. That is if you have a Quadrajet Carburetor. If you have a HOLLY carb. on it then the Float level is to high or the Jets are to big and the POWER VALVE is probley leaking are blown. REBUILD CARB.
Holley Performance Products has produced a number of after market carburetors for performance vehicles. They are used by all NASCAR Sprint Cup and NHRA Pro-Stock champions for the last 40 years.
