Go somewhere nice with few people around, like a restaurant (this is for your own safety and a good way to control both your tempers). Break up with him as soon as possible. Give him a valid reason. Don't accuse him of causing this breakup but if it is in fact his problem, then simply state that "problem" just doesn't go your way, eg. I just don't think it will work out with me. Don't highlight on his problem too much, just state it in short sentence and leave it that way. Avoid contact with him after that even if he kept trying to bridge you two cause you dont want to give him hope and then shatter it which makes things worse. You will definately hurt his feelings (unless he doesn't love you in the first place) but at least you are not being mean.
