soap and water or use dishwasher liquid detergent with water
A mixture of vinegar and salt can help clean water stains off pennies. Simply soak the pennies in the mixture for a few minutes, then gently rub them with a soft cloth to remove the stains. Rinse thoroughly with water afterwards.
Bit of spit and a rub
Use Bleach and hot Soap Water. Leave it in there for a while and then use a sponge to wipe it off.

Hard water is a term that means the water has lots of minerals - hard water stains are solid deposits of those minerals left behind when the water evaporates. The water initially dissolved those minerals because it was acidic - a weak acid such as lemon juice or vinegar is usually pretty good at removing these stains; or a scrubbing paste made of baking soda and water.
If you are referring to paint stains, get them off with the thinner of the paint you've been using, then wash in warm soapy water and use a hand lotion after.
To remove salt stains from nylon boots, mix a solution of equal parts water and vinegar. Dip a soft cloth into the solution and gently wipe the salt stains off the boots. Allow the boots to air dry completely before use.
Soak in cold water.
Mix equal parts water and vinegar, then spray the solution onto the stains. Let it sit for a few minutes before wiping it off with a clean cloth. Repeat if needed.
